A New Warning Label?
(from the American Dental Assn. newsletter)
Bottle caps are nothing to chew on! A recent
issue of Mens Health recounts the story of a bartender who tried to uncap a bottle
of tonic water ~ with his teeth. The bottle snapped at the neck, shredding his lip,
and the blast of carbon dioxide became trapped gas bubbles under his facial skin and
behind his throat. In another incident, a man tried to open a beer bottle with his teeth
and the pressure of the carbonation blew the metal cap down his throat.
If this keeps up, look for warning labels to appear on bottles containing
carbonated beverages, starting with, "Hey, stupid..."
