"Canine Cleaning"

by Pam Plank-registered dental assist.*

Did you know that your dog needs regular dental care too? People aren’t the only ones who are troubled with plaque build—up and gum disease. Gum disease affects nearly 80% of all dogs and is one of the most common problems seen by veterinarians today. You may ask, ‘Do I really need to brush my dog’s teeth?" Yes, I brush my dog, Shelbie’s teeth about twice a week and she loves it! Not only does brushing prevent gum disease for your pet, but it also takes away the dreaded ‘doggie breath".

P.S.   No we do not treat dogs!  For that you should see your pet's vet :)

*Pam is no longer with us - she has since moved away, but we appreciated this article from a past newsletter.  Thank you Pam!
